What is the meaning of DSLV?

The German Freight Forwarding and Logistics Association (DSLV) e.V. is the industry's governing body for freight forwarding and logistics in Germany. It was established in 2003 through the merger of Vereinigung Deutscher Kraftwagenspediteure (VKS) and Bundesverband Spedition und Logistik (BSL), and advises its over 4,000 members on all matters in the transport and logistics sector.

The DSLV represents the shared interests of the freight forwarding, warehousing, transport and logistics sectors towards national and international organisations, legislators and the public. It also acts as a consultant and provides members with training and certification.

As the only leading body in the German transport sector to cover the full spectrum of freight forwarding and logistics services, the DSLV also engages in transport-policy debate on directives, rules and proposed legislation in the interest of its member companies.
