Road Traffic Regulations, also known as Kraftverkehrsordnung (KVO) in Germany, govern the liability of transport businesses in the domestic long-distance road haulage sector. On July 1, 1998, the Transport Law Reform Act eliminated KVO.
Prior to July 1, 1998, the KVO governed transport companies' responsibility in long-distance road haulage. The divide between local and long-distance transportation was erased by the Transport Law Reform Act, rendering the KVO obsolete.
