What is the meaning of BAG?

BAG stands for “Federal Office for Goods Transport”. In Germany, the Federal Ministry of Transport and Digital Infrastructure (BMVI) is subordinate to the Federal Office for Goods Transport. The office is in charge of national freight transportation.

The central office of the Federal Office for Goods Transport is in charge of planning, directing, and coordinating road checks and traffic data. Its primary area of operation is road inspections, which are meant to improve traffic safety and guarantee environmental protection.
