What is a Pump Truck?

A concrete pump truck is a vehicle that transports liquid concrete and pumps it, through a piston-driven hose or boom, to an exact spot on a construction site. It moves concrete faster and more precisely than manual methods.

How a pump truck works

The truck receives liquid concrete in a hopper. A piston-and-cylinder pump pressurises the concrete and pushes it through a hose or an articulated boom to the pouring point, even at height or over obstacles.

Where pump trucks are used

They are common for foundations, floors, bridges and other large-scale construction projects where concrete must be placed quickly and accurately.
