What is Unloading Point?

An unloading point is the location where goods are taken off a truck or vessel once they reach their destination, such as a port, warehouse, distribution centre or a dedicated dock.

Equipment at an unloading point

Most unloading points have equipment to remove goods from arriving vehicles or ships, such as a ramp or dock leveller, forklifts, cranes or conveyor systems, chosen to match the type of cargo.

Unloading point in route planning

The unloading point is the counterpart of the point of origin: it is the final stop of a delivery. In the Planner Module from IMPARGO it is the destination around which the route and delivery time are planned.
