For Dispatcher: Connect to DriverApp

This guide shows how to quickly connect the DriverApp as a truck dispatcher using the Fleet Module.

The DriverApp is a mobile application available for Android and iOS, enabling real-time communication and tracking between dispatchers and truck drivers. Below you'll find a simple method to connect drivers digitally using the Fleet Module.

For more information on how to download and connect the DriverApp as a driver, visit this link.

Connect to DriverApp via Fleet Module

Step 1: Access Fleet Module.
Click the “F” icon in the left sidebar to open the → Fleet Module.

Step 2: Send download link via SMS.
Click the “Invite driver via SMS” button in the top right corner. This sends your driver an SMS with a download link and company code to connect their DriverApp.

Step 3: DriverApp installation and connection.

  1. The driver clicks the link in the SMS to download the app.
  2. They enter their name, your company code, and a verification code sent via SMS.
  3. The company code links their app with your Fleet system.
  4. Once connected, the driver will appear as a card in your Fleet Module.

Note: GPS tracking and order execution in the DriverApp are functionally independent. This means that as soon as the DriverApp is connected to the Fleet Module, orders can be dispatched to the driver, even if GPS tracking is not enabled. If GPS tracking is deactivated, a modal will appear in the app informing the driver that location tracking must be enabled for GPS features to work.

For GPS location tracking to function properly, the following smartphone settings must be configured on the driver's phone:

  • Allow GPS and background location access.
  • Keep location services enabled at all times.
  • Disable battery optimization for the DriverApp.
