Send Arrival Notifications (Automated)
The tracking link for the pickup and drop-off locations keeps all transport stakeholders informed about the order status and the trucks' arrival times. This improves communication and coordination throughout the transportation process.
Using IMPARGO transport order management platform, you have the flexibility to automatically notify customers on a stop-level basis via email notifications. Additionally, your dispatcher can manually trigger these notifications. Follow this comprehensive guide to adjust these settings and enhance communication.
Send Automated Tracking Link to Pick-up or Drop Location
This feature enables automated email notifications to customers, sent one hour before time of arrival for a delivery (based on the ETA of the truck driver). Enable automatic email notifications on a stop-level basis in the → settings by activating the function “Automated Stop-E-Mail Notifications”. Automated arrival notifications are triggered when the tour is started, and another notification is sent automatically one hour before the estimated planned arrival time.
To send arrival notifications manuallyvia the order details view follow these steps:
Step 1: Open Orders Module. Click on the "O" icon (Tooltip: “Orders”) in the left sidebar to open the → Orders Module and select the “My Orders” tab.
Step 2: Initiate Tracking Email. Click the relevant order and open the order details submenu. Then locate and click the send icon (Tooltip: "Send tracking link") on the right of each stop. A view with the confirmation email will appear.
Step 3: Send the Tracking Link. Within the opened email view the locations email address will appear as the “To:” email address, if it is maintained in the → addresses. Your company email (if maintained) will appear as the “CC:” email address. Anyone with access to the send link within this email can view the relevant information for the stop and see the current status including ETA.
Step 4: Activate Automated Arrival Notifications (Optional). Enable automatic email notifications on a stop-level basis in the → settings by activating the function “Automated Stop-E-Mail Notifications”. Automated arrival notifications are triggered when the tour is started, and another notification is sent automatically one hour before the estimated planned arrival time.
The tracking link for pick-up or drop location can view:
The delivery time windows.
The estimated arrival time (if the DriverApp or telematics integration is used).
The delivery address.
The name of the carrier.
The load details with reference and loading units.
