Filter Trucks And Save Vehicle Lists

1. Filtering Vehicles

By default, the Dispatch Module shows all vehicles in your fleet. You can filter the view to display only the vehicles relevant to your role or planning task.

  • Use the vehicle filter control in the Dispatch Module to select specific vehicles
  • The filtered vehicle list is displayed on the left side of the view
  • All other vehicles are hidden from the timeline until the filter is cleared or changed

Filtering helps you:

  • Focus on specific fleet segments without visual clutter
  • Reduce complexity when managing a large fleet
  • Work more efficiently when your role covers only part of the fleet

Open the vehicle filter, select a few vehicles, the left panel updates to show only filtered vehicles, then save the view and choose between personal and company-wide.

2. Saving Vehicle Views

Once you have set up a vehicle filter you use regularly, you can save it as a view. Saved views let you return to your preferred vehicle selection instantly every time you open the Dispatch Module — no need to filter again each session.

Personal View

A personal view is visible only to you. Use this for individual planning preferences that are specific to your role or workflow.

Company-Wide View

A company-wide view is visible to all users in your company. Use this to share a standard vehicle selection across your dispatch team or to define a consistent starting view for a particular role.

Key point: Saved views in the Dispatch Module work the same way as saved views in the Orders table. Same personal vs. company-wide options, same editing and deletion workflow.

Example: A dispatcher responsible for northern-region vehicles saves a personal view with only those 6 vehicles selected. Every morning they open the Dispatch Module, select their saved view, and immediately see only the vehicles they manage — without any additional filtering needed.

Save a vehicle filter selection as a personal or company-wide view in the Dispatch Module. The saved view is available every time the module is opened.

3. Managing Saved Views

Saved views can be updated or removed at any time.

Editing A Saved View

  • Open the saved view
  • Adjust the vehicle filter selection
  • Save the updated selection — the view is updated immediately

Deleting A Saved View

  • Select the view you want to delete
  • Use the delete option to remove it
  • The view is removed for you (personal) or for all users (company-wide)

4. Working With The Unassigned Orders Section

The Unassigned Orders section is displayed below the timeline and contains all orders that are not assigned to a vehicle or partner. It is your planning queue for the day.

The Dispatch Module showing the Unassigned Orders section below the timeline. The timeline range is adjusted and the panel updates to show only orders within the selected timeframe.

Note: Unassigned orders are displayed based on the selected timeline. Only orders with a tour start date within the visible timeframe are shown. Adjust the timeline range to find orders outside the current view.

Filtering Unassigned Orders

You can filter the Unassigned Orders section to find specific orders quickly. Available filter criteria include:

  • Reference number
  • Customer
  • Status
  • Other available criteria

What You Can Do In The Unassigned Orders Section

  • Review all orders waiting to be planned
  • Assign orders to vehicles using drag-and-drop
  • Prioritise which orders to plan first

5. Vehicle Actions

Each vehicle row in the timeline has actions available for managing that vehicle's schedule and information without leaving the Dispatch Module.

Add Time Blocker

Block a period of unavailable time for a vehicle directly on the timeline. The blocked time appears as a red area on the vehicle row, indicating it is not available for order assignments during that period.

Open Vehicle Details

View the full vehicle profile including vehicle information and specifications.

View Assigned Orders

Opens the Orders table filtered to show only the orders assigned to the selected vehicle. Useful for reviewing the full workload of a specific vehicle in one place.
