Customers KPIs: revenue and profit per customer

1. What You See in Customer KPIs

Open Customers KPIs from the tabs at the top of the Report view. The tab is organized into headline cards, a monthly chart, and a per-customer ranking.

Top KPI cards

The card row summarizes your customer base for the selected period:

  • Total Revenue
  • Avg revenue per customer
  • Active Customers
  • Avg shipments per customer

The four cards sit in a row at the top of the tab:

Customers KPIs cards: Total Revenue, Avg Revenue per Customer, Active Customers and Avg Shipments per Customer

In the example above, 29 active customers generated 669,927 EUR in revenue, averaging 23,101 EUR and 42.97 shipments each.

Revenue vs Costs chart

The Revenue vs Costs chart plots monthly revenue, cost, and profit. Use the filter at the top right to focus on a single customer, and hover any month to read its exact figures.

Revenue Ranking table

One row per customer: revenue, shipments, average price per km, distance, weight, and revenue share. Rows are ranked by revenue share, so your largest accounts sit at the top. It mirrors the ranking in Partners KPIs on the subcontractor side.

In the example above, the top account alone makes up 28% of revenue and the top four together most of it, exactly the concentration this ranking surfaces.

2. How It Is Calculated

Customer KPIs are based on shipments, not transports. When several customers share one truck load (a fused tour), there is one transport but several shipments. This split is what lets revenue and cost be attributed to the correct customer.

Customer cost uses the cost value stored directly on the shipment. When shipments are fused into one tour, costs are not split automatically: they must be updated manually per shipment after fusing.

Use Case
You fuse two customers' loads onto one truck to fill the tour. Analytics keeps both shipments separate, so each customer's revenue lands under the right account. To make the profit column meaningful, update the cost on each shipment after fusing.

3. Notes and Limitations

  • Customer revenue is always accurate, but customer profit is only meaningful once shipment-level costs are kept up to date. Because fused tours do not split cost automatically, the cost and profit columns stay reliable only if you update the cost on each shipment after fusing. Until you do, read profit per customer as indicative rather than exact.
  • Automatic cost splitting across fused shipments is a planned improvement: the shared cost of a fused tour would be divided across its shipments automatically, either as an even split, by distance share, or by loading-meter share, so profit per customer becomes accurate with no manual step. This is not yet available.
