Poland Truck Toll 2026: e-TOLL Rates, Toll Roads and Registration Guide
Poland charges a kilometre-based e-TOLL for all HGVs over 3.5 t. The rate depends on the vehicle's Euro emission class, gross vehicle weight and the road category (A/S motorways or GP/G national roads). Rates rose twice in early 2026 — see the dated note below before you price any Poland route.

2026 e-TOLL Rate Increase: What Changed
Poland Truck Toll Rate Bands (01.01.2025 baseline)
Tolls are charged per kilometre. The two key factors are the Euro emission class and the vehicle weight. The tables below show the rates that took effect on 01.01.2025; both increased in 2026 (see the note above). Use them to understand the rate structure, then confirm current figures on etoll.gov.pl.
Class A and S – Motorways and expressways (PLN/km, 01.01.2025)
Class GP and G – National roads (PLN/km, 01.01.2025)

Example calculation (01.01.2025 rates): A Euro V HGV (over 12 t) drives from the German–Polish border (Słubice) to Warsaw — approx. 570 km mostly on the A2 motorway. Toll cost: 570 × 0.48 PLN = 274 PLN (approx. €63). The same route with an older Euro II truck: 570 × 0.97 PLN = 553 PLN (approx. €126). The emission class alone creates a €63 difference per trip — and after the February 2026 increase the gap is wider still. Use the IMPARGO Toll Calculator to estimate costs for any route before dispatching.
How the Polish e-TOLL System Works
The Polish e-TOLL system uses GNSS satellite technology to record distance on toll roads. Every HGV over 3.5 t must have an approved tracking device:
- On-Board Unit (OBU) — permanently installed in the vehicle
- External Location System (ELS) — retrofit solution
- Free e-TOLL App — suitable for occasional trips
Cash payment at certified service points (MOK) is technically possible, but impractical for fleet operators running regular Poland routes.
e-TOLL Registration: Step by Step
Register online at login.mf.gov.pl:
- Log in with your company details (NIP/VAT number)
- Choose a payment method (prepayment or direct debit)
- Enter vehicle data (registration, weight, Euro class)
- Assign and activate the tracking device
Operating without a registered or active device results in fines from the GITD (Road Transport Inspection). Full details: etoll.gov.pl.
Calculate Poland Toll Costs Before You Dispatch
Profitably pricing Poland routes means knowing the toll cost before the tour is planned — not after it appears on an invoice. With the February 2026 increase, a route priced on last year's rates can quietly erase the margin. With IMPARGO, dispatchers plan routes including all e-TOLL costs for Poland and the rest of Europe in one step:
- Automatic e-TOLL cost calculation per route
- Side-by-side comparison of routes with and without toll sections
- Full inclusion of vehicle costs, driver wages and fuel
- Tour handoff to drivers via the DriverApp
FAQ – Poland Truck Toll
Who must pay e-TOLL in Poland?
All vehicles over 3.5 t gross vehicle weight — including buses — on toll-designated road sections (class A, S, GP, G).
Did Poland's truck toll go up in 2026?
Yes — twice. Rates rose 4%–6.6% on 1 January 2026 (annual indexation) and a further 40%–42% on 1 February 2026, when the tolled network also expanded by about 645 km. Confirm current figures on etoll.gov.pl.
How do I calculate toll costs for my route through Poland?
The IMPARGO Toll Calculator computes all e-TOLL costs automatically — before you dispatch, so pricing is accurate from the start.
Can I pay the toll in cash?
Yes, at certified MOK service points. For regular Poland routes, an OBU or ELS device is far more practical.
What happens if my tracking device is missing or inactive?
The GITD issues significant fines. The system detects missing registrations automatically.
Which roads are subject to toll in Poland?
Motorways and expressways (A/S) plus selected national roads (GP/G). The full Poland toll map is on etoll.gov.pl.
How do I find my truck's Euro emission class?
Check the vehicle registration document or contact the manufacturer. The class determines your per-km rate.
